Engineered Venting.
Delivered.

EXD is the exclusive manufacturer representative for commercial and industrial exhaust, high-temperature venting and mechanical draft. We specify with engineers. We supply mechanical contractors. We verify in the field. No field modifications. No change orders.

UL 103 · 1738 · 1978 · 2221
NFPA 96 · IMC compliant
Formerly Enervex NorCal

Same engineering team. New name.

EXD was formerly known as Enervex NorCal. We still represent the same manufacturer-backed exhaust, venting and mechanical draft lines across Northern California, with the same specifying engineers and field support team contractors have relied on for years.

The Problem

Fragmentation is the failure mode.

General engineers cannot stay current on every code nuance for high-temperature venting, grease ducts and generator exhaust. Standard distributors do not understand draft control or thermal expansion. The result: systems that draw clean on a 2D drawing and fail the first inspection.

EXD closes that gap. We are the single technical authority that represents the product, runs the physics and validates the layout. One source from spec language to roof termination. No translation loss between the engineer's drawing and the contractor's punch list.

Application Precision

Boiler stacks, generator exhaust, kitchen grease duct. Engineered to the exact thermal and pressure load.

Supply Chain Reliability

Submittals, factory orders and logistics managed with transparent lead times contractors can schedule labor around.

Code Authority

NFPA 96, IMC, UL listings referenced from memory. AHJ-tested layouts.

Field Execution

Pre-install survey, install QC and commissioning sign-off. We do not hand over keys until it passes.

Capabilities

Exhaust, engineered end to end.

Not a contractor. Not a distributor. EXD assists consulting engineers with design and specification, supplies mechanical contractors with exact factory packages and verifies every install in the field.

All Capabilities

Airflow

CFM, static pressure and draft analysis sized to the application.

Pressure

External static, balancing and commissioning verification.

Thermal

UL 1738 and UL 2221 stack design rated to 2000°F continuous.

Mechanical Draft

Demand-controlled, inline and upblast configurations.

Spec & Submittal

Stamped drawings and code-aligned cut sheets in five business days.

Field Verification

Pre-install survey, install QC and commissioning sign-off.

Who We Serve

Two paths. Same documentation discipline.

For Specifying Engineers

Selection support, code references, stamp-ready submittals.

  • Pressure drop analyses and sizing calculations
  • NFPA 96, IMC and UL listing references on call
  • Section 23 31 / 23 38 spec language you can paste
  • Site walks alongside the design team
Engineer Resources

For Mechanical Contractors

Factory packages priced tight, scheduled, and field verified.

  • Take-off review against the spec. No surprises.
  • Single PO for the full exhaust scope
  • Submittal turnaround in five business days
  • Field verification before commissioning
